Dr. Wendy Peters is a Clinical Assistant Professor, faculty fellow, and member of the Native Health Research Team in the Center for Rural Health at UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences. Originally from Hawaii, Dr. Peters is Native Hawaiian and has a diverse background as a researcher, educator, technology expert, and business consultant. Specializing in both human and cultural development, Dr. Peters' work is concerned with the bio-psycho-social determinants of Native health disparities and the challenges of Multiculturalism as they relate to U.S. Native peoples and their communities. Dr. Peters' approach to psychology is from a humanistic and transpersonal perspective and she takes special interest in the emphasis, practice, and applications of integrative medicine.
